Eimear Burke is a partner in the regulatory and administrative law unit at McDowell Purcell. Eimear has extensive experience acting on behalf of professional regulatory bodies and provides advice in relation to all aspects of their governing legislation.
Eimear has been responsible for the investigation and preparation of many complex and high profile cases before the professional conduct committees of professional regulatory bodies.
She also provides advice and representation to clients in respect of High Court appeals and judicial reviews, which often consider issues of administrative law.
Eimear is a skilled advocate and regularly makes applications before the professional conduct committees of regulatory bodies and the High Court.
In addition, Eimear has considerable expertise in the drafting of rules, regulations, codes of conduct, guidelines and bye-laws on behalf of regulatory bodies.
Eimear regularly speaks at conferences, workshops and seminars organised by professional regulatory bodies, legal education providers and McDowell Purcell.
Eimear is co-author of the legal text book “Disciplinary Procedures in the Statutory Professions.”
