Biography

Blake O'Donnell is a dual-qualified solicitor in the UK and Ireland with extensive experience in large commercial real estate transactions. He obtained a Bachelor of Civil Law (International), First Class Honours degree from the University College Dublin in 2005, an LLM from the University of Minnesota in 2006, and an MPhil in Real Estate Finance from the University of Cambridge in 2007. In 2010, Blake was admitted to practice law in both England & Wales and Ireland. Between 2007 and 2012, Blake worked at two of the leading Irish corporate law firms before becoming General Counsel for a private equity firm that controlled and managed assets worth over £1.6 billion. In 2016, he established his law firm, Solvere Solicitors, which specialized in real estate, corporate restructuring, banking, litigation, and insolvency. Blake later joined Spencer West LLP, a London-based corporate law firm with over 100 partners, as a Partner in 2020, where he specialises the Banking and Finance. Blake is experienced in advising on large transactions that involve complex financing and security structures, with assets located in multiple jurisdictions. He has been researching and advising on legal aspects of cryptocurrency for a number of years.
