Camilla is an independent legal and policy consultant, researcher and trainer specialising in the areas of mental health, capacity, and consent and human rights, with much of her work focusing on the mental health care of children and young people. She is a qualified (non-practising) solicitor and has been a member of the Law Society’s Mental Health and Disability Committee since 2009.
Camilla was appointed as Honorary King’s Counsel in recognition of ‘her excellent contribution to the fields of mental health and mental capacity law, in particular the development of law and policy relating to the mental health care of children and young people.’
